nothing for a while i know.

we all got a horrible cold, so besides a milk/eggs run, we really haven't done much shopping.
c and i did a big mega 10 event shop at kroger, spent about 30$ and used all my quaker coupons, and got quite a lot so we've been mostly going on that. i didn't take a picture, and the receipt is temporarily lost due to cold fog brain.

it's a lost week.
now that the stomach flu is over, back to normal!

Walgreens/CVS run

cvs is on the left,
i spent 3.34 in cash and used no extrabucks. not pictured is a gatorade that i impulse bought because we were thirsty and my 16 month old can't operate a drink without a sip lid in the car. So that, for 1.79 and the buy one from the bogo cvs bag tags was the majority of my cvs spending.
I was so happy when i walked into my local cvs. not only did they have 9 (free!!) ivory soaps, but they have installed a COUPON MACHINE in the last 2 weeks. now granted, it didn't print anything good for me, but i have hope that we can become good friends.

walgreens is on the right. i spent 2.50 cash and used 22 register rewards, i recieved $5 in walgreens gift cards because the huggies RR failed to print. not pictured is one butterfinger heart that my husband ate immediately. i should recieve a 2.99 rebate from sure for the men's deoderant that i got for free in the first place. i don't like to count money until i'm holding it, but that would make my total -0.49!

total spent 5.84 OOP and 17 RR. since the RR were all from buying free bayer meters this month, i'm pretty happy with this trip. we were getting LOW on diapers! I went to my usual walgreens/cvs right up the street and they still didn't have any of the neosporin lip balms, so I might stop by the ritzy walgreens later this week and try again. I still have 2 more ivory soap coupons to use before sunday as well.

monday pizza night!

i wish i could show you the AMAZING pizza we had tonight. unfortunately, by the time i thought to take a picture, this was all that was left. small crumbs only.

This was the first time i used my new (to me) baking stone that my Grammy had given me several months ago; and that, the recipe below, and a previous suggestion to put cornmeal under the crust made ALL the difference. up until now, i had made homemade pizza before, but never had it taste like the pizza you get delivered. i've had it made for me as well, same results. This recipe, found late last night while wasting time on the internet is the BEST hands down recipe i have ever tasted.

i didn't make her onion and cheese pizza ( although next time, i might just have to!), i just used her crust recipe and made 2 medium sized pizzas, one plain cheese with tomato sauce and the other bbq sauce with mozzerella ham and pineapple. both were quickly devoured. i also used her suggestion to put the stretched dough on parchment paper and then transfer to the hot stone. That worked so well, i only can bake one at a time, so i just slid the first pizza off and the second one on and it only took a second. works great if you don't have a peel (or if you do!)

when my amazon delivery comes with my 2 lbs of yeast (purchased with swagbucks!!)
i am going to do a little happy dance, and then try the sourdough version. for now, i'm all out and will probably not be able to make anything yeast related until later this week. i still have a loaf of bread in the freezer though, which i am saving for if the UPS man doesn't find my house soon!

in my mailbox today i got the avery durable tabs that were recently available, and the recyclebank rewards that i traded in my 100 free for signing up points for. A BOGO green bag tag from cvs, and a free seventh generation dish soap.

and the fedex man brought me my free lee jeans!! so exciting! these were due to a recent facebook promotion in which after the first 2 days Lee changed the contest rules. to keep things fair they gave everyone who signed up on the first 2 days a free pair!

sunday kroger trip

so this is what i got on our sunday night trip to kroger. i went for bananas and flour, got sidetracked by the mega event and had to cut it short because someone (Chloe) thinks kroger is the perfect place to make a horrible smelling diaper. so we left with what we had, but now that i have the rest of my coupons cut out from this past sunday, we are probably going to make another trip out to kroger for free ro tel and cheap hunts tomatoes and kraft cheese. i also wanted some of the mustard and hot sauce that was so cheap after coupons and promo, but mine was all sold out sunday night. maybe we will hit the big kroger in the next town over. it's a little ritzier and usually the free after coupons items are untouched.

we spent 10.91 and got what was pictured plus a pint of international delight creamer and a 5lb bag of unbleached kroger flour.
